To ensure your answering machine is working properly, follow these steps:
Enable the Answering Machine Feature
Make sure the answering machine function is turned on from your handset. Check your phone’s manual for instructions on how to activate this feature.
Set the Number of Rings
Adjust the number of rings before the call is answered by the answering machine. Set this between 2 and 6 rings, each ring lasts about 5 seconds. This can usually be done from the handset's menu or settings.
Finding Your Manual
If you’re unsure how to adjust any of these settings, consult your phone’s manual. If you don’t have a copy, you can usually find it online by searching for your phone’s model number, which is often printed on the bottom of the device.
